Begin Legislative Branch - focus on the House of Commons.

Be sure to look at the Parliament of Canada website. Download, read and study from the Guide to the House of Commons.

Homework #1: Read pp. 231-233 sidebar. Do #1-3 in the sidebar on p. 233.

Homework #2: Research main ideas/principles of two of the following major Canadian federal political parties: Conservative, Liberal, NDP, Bloc Quebecois, Green. Cover at least 5 of the following categories: Economy (business and trade), immigration, health care, defense, legal matters (including crime), education, aboriginal issues, environmental issues, foreign relations. Write out at least 10 point form notes total (in your own words) for each party, using pen or computer. Due Thursday, Feb. 12
